Brand Story: Luxurious handbag with love code (picture)

From painters to sculptors, to influxes (see: his proudly upturned mustache) and to filmmakers, Salvador Dalí is truly a multi-talented person. However, this surrealist painter is still a stubborn romanticist. Later, Gala Daly became his wife, collaborators and brokers; but most importantly, he became his muse. Their love story is well-known, mainly because Dali likes to publicly publicize his love.

Soon after the marriage, Dali began to mark his personal work in the name of two people. He once wrote that "Gara, I almost used your blood to paint my paintings." In the late 1960s, he created an eight-character alphabet to commemorate his muse. This table is a stylized pattern consisting of three groups of letters. G stands for Gradic-Gala, D stands for Dali, and S stands for Salvador; later, he calls this the Daligramme.

In the 1970s, Lanzi cooperated with Dali to create a “Le Dali” handbag with a love password. Afterwards, this handbag was given to Gala as a gift. In September last year, the French Tourism Bureau reinterpreted Le Dali and used it to launch Dalitou, a huge collection of handbags, accessories and leather goods, to pay tribute to the Spanish artist.

Now, the second set of Dalitu handbags has arrived in Hong Kong. It is crafted from precious sheepskin and satin. Each handbag is gorgeously decorated with an 18-carat gold bicycle chain handle, just like the first Daly handbag.
